Looking for something that’s accurate in terms of changing heart rates.

Heart Rate Target Zones

Understanding the 5 basic heart rate target zones with the TIMEX Race Trainer with Heart Rate Monitor. Heart rate monitor watches help you accurately measure the rate your heart beats while exercising. Knowing how many beats per minute your heart is going can help you gauge the level of intensity your ‘really’ giving during a specific workout. The Race Trainer features 5 Heart Rate Target Zones. These zones are benchmarks to help you hone in on your optimal fitness intensity. Depending on your goals, a heart rate monitor watch can help you either focus on weight management, aerobic base building or elite athletic training. Each category corresponds with a target heart rate zone. If your goal is to increase stamina and aerobic endurance then working between 70% and 80% of your maximum heart rate is where you need to train to best find success. By using a heart rate monitor and knowing the five basic heart rate target zones you can make sure you’re not over training or under training. This video breaks it down in easy to understand language. As a general rule though, it is usually better to under-train than to over train. If anyone is out there at actually uses the F11 Heart Rate Monitor and trys to send their data through the SonicLink and WebLink, can you give me any clues or tips how to make transferring the information through the microphone any easier.

I’m having a tough time with this. Only about once a week after numerous tries can I actually get the data to transfer. It’s so tiring, I think I actually spend more time trying to transfer the data than acutally working out.

We’ll thanks and I hope someone can help me (Polar couldn’t).

Which heart rate monitor should I buy?

I am a 13 year old girl, I weigh 125 pounds (56 kg), and i am 5"4 (1,66 m). About two months ago I started exercising on a treadmill because i want to lose some weight. It tells me the amount of calories I burn according to how fast i run, the inclination, and my heart rate (it measures it if i put my hands in it, which is uncomfortable for running). However, it doesn’t take in consideration my age, sex, or weight; it measures the calories I’d burn if i’d be a 30 year old male who weighs 150 pounds. I was considering buying a polar watch to monitor my work. I am considering the Polar F4, the F6, and the F11. Which one do you think is best? Also, will i be able to set i am 13 years old or are those watches only suitable for adults? And where do i have to put the chest strap? Because i read the chest strap of the F4 was specially small for woman (28-40 inches) but im not sure where i have to put it. It won’t fit me if i have to put it just under my bra because i only measure 27 inches there. Thanks for your help!!

Without any exercise or strenuous activity, my heart rate suddenly after walking upstairs went to around 152 (as close as I could measure with the stop watch on my phone and my own sensitivity in my index and middle finger). Then after two minutes it suddenly dropped to 90 (still high for me). Last time I was at the doctors my heart rate was 62bpm. What is going on?
I am 17- very active- very fit. 5’8" 138lbs
it was like 5 steps– not really stairs. I shouldnt have mentioned it. I wasn’t running up the stairs. I was slowly walking..then BANG- it started beating fast. I could feel it… just a shock almost- a jolt that set my heart pounding and i became dizzy

I want to buy one of these heart rate monitors (or probably any kind that takes the reading with a direct cable link), because I have two wireless ones that work from a chest strap and neither gives an accurate reading. I use the monitor when exercising on a stationary exercise bike, so the cable won’t be a nuisance.

Go to: www.amazon.com Sports Instruments Pro 9 Heart Rate Monitor The Sports Instruments Pro 9 is a wireless heart monitor with chest strap. It has many features and functions, and the basic functions are easy to use. Beyond that, you will need to study the manual. In addition to working wirelessly, it will communicate with gym equipment set up for a wireless heart monitor, including the Precor C-842 exercise bike. The Pro 9 is attractive, and tracks your workout using five individual training zones, based on your lactate threshold or maximum heart rate. Lactate threshold requires medical tests or an educated guess, so I am using maximum heart rate. The Pro 9 allows you to choose a variety of display modes. My two favorites are heart rate and zone, or the zone and percentage of maximum heart rate. The display is as easy to read as it appears to be in the photograph. And I am over 50, so I can’t deal with tiny numbers. The Pro 9 is a step up from the Pro 7, and stores a record of time spent in all 5 training zones, percentage of time in each zone, workload index for each workout and average/maximum/ending heart rate for each lap and split for the last 5 workouts. (The Pro 7 records only one workout/set of data). The Pro 9 has dual interval timers which can be linked to the lap chronograph to create on/off intervals. In addition to the heart rate monitor and timer features, it has a clock, so you can ride without your regular watch and still know the time (and date). And if

I was wondering if anyone had a good idea of what the +/- of the read out of your heart rate on the monitors connected with the cardio machines. I know for the calorie read out you should take anywhere from 10 – 15% off the total.

What is the best fitness watch for me?

I am currently looking to buy a new fitness watch but have been a bit confused by all of the different options. I cycle 12km a day and was looking for something to measure heart rate, bpm, cycle time, calories, etc. I also run 3/4 times a week and would like heart rate, bpm, calories, lap times, etc. I would like a fitness watch that can be used for both, that looks quite good, and if possible works on mac os x?

Much thanks in advance.

Heart Rate Monitor strapless for exercise?

I’m trying to figure out which monitor to get for exercising. I’d also like to be able to wear it throughout the day. I’m ok with the strap, but i’m not comfortable having to put two fingers on the watch every time i do a reading. Any suggestions as to what you may have liked and why?

I recently bought my girlfriend of 26 years of age a polar heart rate monitoring watch. She is training herself for a Charity run. She is getting readings as high as 235 beats per minute. We decided to return the watch and exchanged it for a new one thinking the watch must be faulty. None the less the new watch is giving the same results. She is not faint or have any pains but I worry for her. I have recomended she see a doctor just in case. She claims her heart has always had a high beat count even when she tested it on olyptical gym equipment. She is seemingly healthy and can run as far, and longer than I can. Should she worry?

Go to BuildMuscleBurnFat.info myFREE workout plan Build Muscle and Burn Fat FAST AS HELL! What if I told you that you could burn more fat by doing less cardio? Well, with High Intensity Interval Training (also known as HIIT) you can do just that, burn more fat while spending less time in the gym. In this article I will explain how to get the best results from this new and cutting-edge type of cardiovascular training. You have probably been told, just like the rest of us, that in order to burn the greatest amount of fat you need to do cardio for 20 to 60 minutes at a moderate intensity. This will indeed melt the fat away, but HIIT is a more efficient and athlete-friendly way to train and burn fat at the same time. How HIIT Works With HIIT, you will be working harder than you normally work but for about a quarter to a half of the time that you would normally spend on the cardio machine of your choice. HIIT is so intense and effective that you only need 15 to 20 minutes, tops! Here’s What You Do: Pick the cardio machine of your choice (treadmill, elliptical, rower, bike, swimming) and perform a 5 minute warm-up. Then take time to stretch properly and you are ready to begin. Start at a moderate pace for 1 minute, then crank up the pace to 90 or 95% of your Maximum Heart Rate (MHR). Continue at this effort for 15 to 20 seconds, then slow down to your starting pace for another minute followed by another all-out sprint for 15 to 20 seconds. Or do like me and jump as high as you
